Made from real phone photos

Made from your phone photo and digitally enhanced (including AI tools). Where part of the iris is unclear or hidden by reflections, it’s filled in, so the artwork is inspired by your iris, not an exact copy.
Every artwork is finished to a consistent studio-style standard, but how closely it matches your eye depends on how clear and accurate your photo is.

Photo tips
Get the best photo
A sharp, well-lit close-up makes the biggest difference to your artwork.
- Use the rear camera. It’s sharper than the selfie camera. Turn on 2x zoom or macro mode if your phone has it.
- Get close, but not too close. Hold the phone about 10–15 cm from your eye.
- Use soft daylight from the side. Stand side-on to a window. Avoid direct sun.
- No flash or ring light. They put a bright reflection right across the iris.
- Open wide and focus on the iris. Look just past the lens and tap the screen on the iris to focus.
- Take 5–10 shots, then upload the sharpest one.
- Upload the original photo, not a screenshot. Ideally 1500 px or more on the short side; photos under 600 px can’t be used.
- File type: JPEG or PNG work best. Your browser converts the photo to a JPEG under 8 MB before upload. iPhone HEIC photos work in Safari on iPhone and iPad; in other browsers, save the photo as a JPEG first.
- Remove coloured contact lenses and glasses, and keep the eye near the centre of the frame.
JPEG or PNG photos work best. Your browser converts the photo to a JPEG under 8 MB before upload. If a photo is a little soft, small or has some glare, you’ll see a note and can still go ahead. We only turn away photos we can’t use.

Privacy
Your photo, handled carefully
- We use your eye photos only to make and deliver your artwork. Never for identification, biometric matching, profiling or AI training, and we never sell or share them. Payment details go to PayPal to process your order.
- Photo metadata, including GPS location, is removed when you upload.
- Rendering happens on our own studio computer, and your photo isn’t sent to an outside service.
- Your original photo leaves our website once the finished artwork is uploaded for review. Our studio computer keeps it only until your order is delivered or closed (so a free revision is possible).
- Unpaid uploads are deleted after 24 hours. The final file stays downloadable for 7 days after you approve your preview. Nothing is kept longer than 30 days.
- Want it deleted sooner? Email porter@gislerlabs.com with your order number. Full details: privacy and health data notice.
FAQ
Questions
What is Iris Art?
A digital artwork of your iris, the coloured part of your eye, made from a close-up photo you take on your phone.
Do I need special equipment?
No. A phone’s rear camera, soft daylight from the side and our 1-minute shooting guide are enough. Take 5–10 shots and upload the sharpest one.
Is it made with AI?
Partly. We enhance your photo with digital and AI image tools on our own computers. Unclear or reflected areas are filled in, so the result is inspired by your iris rather than an exact copy. A person checks every artwork.
What if my photo isn’t good enough?
We check it before you pay and tell you why if it won’t work. If we still can’t use it after you’ve paid, we’ll ask for a retake or give you a full refund.
Will it look exactly like my eye?
It’s finished to a consistent studio-style standard, but how closely it matches depends on how clear your photo is. You see a preview before you get the final file.
Can I change something after seeing the preview?
Yes. Every order includes one free revision, such as a different background or a re-render from a new photo.
What do I receive, and how fast?
A high-res PNG and a print-ready PDF in your download (when ready). Previews are usually ready within 48–72 hours, and we email you when your preview is ready. Your download link lasts 7 days after you approve your preview, so save the files.
Can I get it printed?
Yes — print it yourself. Your download includes a high-res PNG and a print-ready PDF; take either to a local print shop or an Officeworks-style poster print. We don’t ship framed prints or offer print-on-demand yet. Honest sizes and tips: AU print guide.
Can I order for someone else, or for my kids?
Yes, but only with their permission. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian must agree. You’ll tick a consent box for each person in the order.
What happens to my eye photo?
We use it only to make your artwork, never for identification, biometric matching or AI training, and we never sell or share it. The original is kept only until your order is delivered or closed (so a free revision is possible), and nothing is kept longer than 30 days. See the Privacy section above and our privacy page for the full timeline.
Where can I order from?
